United Breweries Limited (UBL), a major Indian beverage company and a proud subsidiary of The HEINEKEN Company, required a corporate office within one of its most historic operational sites: the Ponda, Goa plant, established in 1972. The challenge for Acorp Consultants was to reimagine and transform a confined space on the 1st floor of this oldest manufacturing and bottling unit into an elegant, high-performance administrative hub.

The design scheme meticulously integrates UBL’s global identity. The rich Heineken green and the familiar Kingfisher blue were chosen as the essential components of the palette, set against base undertones of neutral Grey (encouraging neutrality/balance) and White/Beige (simplicity/tranquillity). This chromatic dialogue became a key aspect of the interior styling, providing character, depth, and a cohesive soul to the workspace.

The entire block has been designed like disparate pieces of a jigsaw puzzle—sound management, engineered light, and custom furniture—that, when they come together, conform with each other in harmony and euphony, achieving high performance with a low environmental footprint.

A high ceiling height provides volume, while advanced sound management is delivered through the installation of Grooved Acoustic Tile ceilings and Grooved Acoustic Panels on walls. The materials used, were selected for sound dampening and for their low-VOC content, contributing to superior indoor air quality and occupant well-being.

The limited penetration of natural light meant the design relied heavily on engineered illumination. A system of linear, high-efficiency LED lighting fixtures was installed across the optimally planned ceiling height. This choice ensures a uniform, glare-free aura throughout the day while drastically reducing energy consumption.

The look is further alleviated by incorporating modern, flexible furniture solutions. All workstations are furnished with Height Adjustable Tables, reinforcing the approach to professional ergonomics and promoting employee well-being.

For crucial one-on-one calls and concentrated work, acoustically treated Focus Booths and Phone Pods were placed strategically. Even the Café is given a unique flair, featuring a Mesh Ceiling with Creeper, offering a soft, biophilic retreat from the technical workspace, reconnecting users with natural forms to enhance mental recovery and comfort.

The pinnacle of the design is a modern, light-filled environment that gracefully melds operational necessity with corporate sophistication, proving that high performance and sustainable design can exist in perfect harmony within a historical industrial footprint.
